RACE networkRFlD is a European Union project which has been established tio position the EU as a world leader in RFID excellence.

The EU recognise that RFID will increasingly influence the way people work and live and will bring great business opportunities and social benefits. It is therefore essential that Europe plays a leading role in shaping future developments.

The vision of RACE networkRFlD is to provide a network of excellence that creates opportunities and increases the competitiveness of European Member States in the area of RFID thought leadership development and implementation.RACE networkRFlD will build on the outcomes of previous EU projects and use them to:

• Establish the market position for RFID technology in Europe
• Create a roadmap addressing barriers to adoption, deployment market fragmentation
• Promote best practices, case studies, reports, guidelines, services and events to increase awareness at National and European levels.
• Involve the widest possible audience of stakeholders in the public debate on RFID industry, public sector and civil society.

RACE networkRFlD is open to any company in Europe with an interest in RFID. It is a totally free membership organisation.
